Brisbane

The bus was at 7.10 this morning so it wasnt too bad and I got a few hours sleep. The bus was totally full and we were in the small bus this time which has no room at all and is really rubbish!!

Our first place of call was a small village called Nimbin. Nimbin is pretty famous for being the hippy village full of weird people! I dont think there was anyone who wasn't offered marajuana haha it was pretty funny. We went to this small theatre where we watched a short film about Nimbin which was quite interesting and funny at the same time, some of the poeple on the film were just super hippys. We then went to the Nimbin Museum which was really a museum but a collection of hippy stuff and signs about legalising cannabis etc.

After we had wandered around Nimbin for a while we grabbed some food for a picnic at our next stop which was a national park that I forget the name of. Anyway we all got there and had just stepped under the picnic shelter before it started tipping it down so we were pretty lucky. By the time we had finished eating it had stopped so we went ahead with the planned hike we were going to do which was about a mile. It was quite a way to walk but half way was a really kool waterfall that you were able to walk under. Took some photos and then went back to get the bus.

Most people on the bus were getting off at Surfers Paradise which was about an hour away. We got there early so had a hour or so to have a look at the place. I ended up buying a zipped jumper and another belt as there was a sale on and im a sucker for sales and couldnt resist!! Had a quick look at the beach and then went to get nack on the bus which was now full again with new people who had just got on to go to Brisbane.

Brisbane was another hour or so away so when we arrived it was about 7 and I was feeling hungry so dropped off my bags in the room and went to get something to eat. Im only staying tonight as my bus to Hervey is at 7.30 where im going to do my Fraser trip and can't wait!
